Vinjandeepam is a group of visually impaired people of Kerala and volunteers who help them . Volunteers read books for the visually impaired people and record it. They have a huge audio library. Every year puny give scholarships to 28 visually impaired kids. This request is to cover the cost of their annual day celebrations. They conduct competitions among the visually impaired kids and volunteers. Punyam would love to support the prizes for this noble causes. A total cost of Rs. 54000 for giving encouragement and empowerment of visually impaired community is needed.

Abheesh is from a very low economic background . He requested for a bicycle to go to school.

Anjana got admission to Government Ayurveda college. She is coming from a bad economic background .She is looking for financial support to join the program .

She had to divorce as her husband was suspecious (psychic) always and life became miserable. She was earning bread by tailoring. But arthritis makes it impossible now. She lives in her brothers house (a portion) for which she has spent nearly 2 lacs without any record.These are a few racks in which she was running a pan/shop for a living. Flood washed off everything..no house… none to share.. Very pathetic. She needs a rehabilitation first to live on….unthoughtful financial commitments for brother and son also now on her shoulders.

When Kerala’s flood swept away the nearby homes and communities, Prakasan lost hold of his home, now lying in piles of rubble and fallen debris. Homeless and without a way to purchase food for his family of two, Prakasan faced a challenge with almost no solution.

Prakasan’s relatives helped his better half stay strong and sustain after the flood, and the team at Punyam provided means of offering a head start / starting money to her so she could become an entrepreneur of her very own poultry business.

Maya’s life isn’t exactly privileged like many of the middle-class families and communities we know. As a single mother and cancer patient, Maya must take the responsibility of caring for her aging mother and two children while fighting a battle of her own.
Maya requires kind-hearted individuals to support her through her financial struggles for cooking and groceries, medicine, and both her children’s education. If we can, I think it’s time to help remove a burden however small off of Maya’s shoulders.

Poverty has risen to a whole new level during the past several decades. As an example, let’s take Difina’s family who only 3-4 pairs of dresses. In the western world, many privileged individuals would have double the dresses themselves.

When a flood struck Kerala, Difina’s home and surroundings were devastated. Their house was fully submerged in water and was leaking in various places.

Punyam reached out and helped define the damaged areas, bringing emergency household items and food kits useful for a month. We repaired a part of her house which was utterly destroyed.

Our overall contribution as Punyam is shown by giving her money to buy household items, repairing her house, and giving her food kits. After sometime she got a job and is currently able to sustain on her own.

Aarif Ahamed Khan requires medicine for his treatment and support to manage the daily living of his family.

Due to a fall five years ago, Francis will never be able to walk and move his body like he used to. The accident has left him bedridden ever since, and the near future is looking down on him. With his elderly parents to take care of, as well as his two young children, Francis and his wife are desperately looking for a way to support the family.

As a 28-year old, Nelson’s life has doubled in difficulty after an accident threatening to ruin his life. He’s currently in a coma, and we’re not sure when he’s going to come out or slip away.

As Nelson’s slipped into an irrevocable coma, his wife is striving to take care of their 5-month old baby.

During this time of uncertainty, the family needs all the support they can get. For Nelson’s coma; his overworking wife; and a baby whose life will only get harder.

Kumari is a widow, suffering through the loss of her husband. As the mother of four kids, it’s become difficult to manage her entire household, and Kumari’s struggles grow more difficult by the day.

Punyam is taking care of Kumari’s monthly expenses, and has provided the coin for her son’s vocational training. In addition, we’ve provided Kumari’s family food kits sufficient for two years, and have ensured that a son of her’s can achieve and afford his dreams of an ITC education.

As you know, many middle-aged people take care of their senior-citizen parents due to crippling disabilities cutting off their chances of work.

The same is true for Sivan.

He is currently suffering through numerous diseases which have claimed his body, and is not in a prime condition to work. Sivan’s sister is suffering from a mental illness, and both are struggling to reach end’s meet. They are unable to claim basic necessities such as food and medicine. They need your help.

Vinod lost the ability to walk after an unexpected accident. His wife abandoned him and two daughters. His younger daughter is in an orphanage and older daughter is taking care of him. Punyam is taking care of his monthly expenses and his daughter’s studies.
